This practice involves a series of massages and binding techniques to realign the pelvis, close the hips, and offer emotional closure and healing. Benefits include potential relief from postpartum discomfort, support for pelvic realignment, and a symbolic transition to motherhood.
This ceremony is conducted approximately 4-6 weeks after vaginal delivery or 8-10 weeks after cesarean section and is completed within approximately 2 hours.
